Located in western Umbria, on Lake Trasimeno, Magione is based around two main streets that connect from Torre de Lombardi (Lombardy Tower) to the church of San Giovanni Battista.Unlike most similar hilltop cities in Umbria, Magione did not rely on a wall but rather on a defense system centered around the Lombardy tower. There is a beautiful 360 degree view of Umbria including Lake Trasimeno, that creates a stunning spectacle all around.
There are not many active beaches on Lake Trasimeno but Zocco beach offers just that. A lakeside lawn, pool, beach, and other activities such as volleyball. (Click here for more info).
